AdBlue is a liquid reagent used for cleaning the exhaust gases of diesel engines through selective catalytic reduction. It is an aqueous solution consisting of highly purified urea and demineralized water.
The AdBlue reagent allows for a 90% reduction in nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust of diesel engines. The requirements for the AdBlue reagent are defined by the international standard ISO 22241 and the German standard DIN 70070, EURO 4.
