The heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM" with a low freezing point is designed for use in autonomous heating systems, air conditioning equipment, and also as a working fluid in heat exchange systems that operate at low temperatures. It is especially recommended for use in private houses and underfloor heating systems.
Composition.
The base component of the heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM" is high-quality propylene glycol. The heat transfer fluid contains balanced additives of various metal corrosion inhibitors and protective agents. This complex of inhibitor additives includes agents that protect the heat transfer fluid from foaming, as well as additives that protect sealing materials from damage. The production of the heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM" uses reconstituted, de-ironed, and softened water.
Usage Types.
We produce two types of heat transfer fluids - "EKOFRITHERM - 25" and "EKOFRITHERM-K". The heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM-25" is antifreeze ready for use with a freezing point of -25°C. The heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM-K" is an antifreeze concentrate. It can only be used when diluted with demineralized water according to the attached table No. 1.
| Freezing Point | Content of "EKOFRITHERM -K" % |
Water Content % |
| - 40° | 58 | 42 |
| - 30° | 50 | 50 |
| - 20° | 40 | 60 |
In natural circulation systems, we recommend mixing the heat transfer fluid "FRITHERM" concentrate before pouring it into the system. In forced circulation systems, the heat transfer fluid "FRITHERM" concentrate can be mixed directly in the system. Initially, a portion of the required amount of water should be poured in, then antifreeze should be added, and then the remaining amount of water should be poured in. For heating systems with electric boilers, we recommend checking the parameters of the circulation pump and replacing this pump with a more powerful one if necessary. The heat transfer fluid based on propylene glycol has a higher expansion temperature coefficient than water, so to avoid air entry into the closed heating system, it is necessary to install a pressure vessel, according to table No. 2.
| System Volume (liters) | Volume of "EKOFRITHERM –25" (liters) |
| Up to 100 | 20 |
| From 100 to 300 | 45 |
| From 300 to 500 | 70 |
| From 500 to 800 | 90 |
| From 800 to 1100 | 140 |
| From 1100 to 1700 | 230 |
| From 1700 to 2300 | 280 |
Connection points of closed systems should be sealed with materials resistant to propylene glycol. When following operational modes, the corrosion resistance properties of the heat transfer fluid are maintained for 5 years of continuous operation or for 10 heating seasons.
System Preparation.
To ensure safe and long-lasting operation of the system with the heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM", it is necessary to carry out preparatory tasks and perform a hydraulic test of the system. Before filling the heat transfer fluid into an already used system, it is necessary to rinse it with a surface cleaning agent.
Precautions.
The heat transfer fluid "EKOFRITHERM" is intended only for technical purposes, so it must not come into contact with food products and drinking water. If the fluid comes into contact with skin or clothing, it should be urgently washed off with plenty of water.
Storage.
The heat transfer fluid must be stored in a place inaccessible to children, in hermetically sealed packaging, separately from food products. Protect from fire.
